NYC Vineyard
NYC Vineyard Home

Submerge* is a congregation of the NYC Vineyard currently meeting at:

  • Trash Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. (Grand St btwn Driggs & Roebling -- 1 stop on the L train from Manhattan) directions.
    6PM every Sunday.

You must be 21 or over to come into the Trash Bar unless you're accompanied by a parent or guardian. Sorry for the inconvenience! Please email us if you're under 21, but are interested in our community.

  • Sunday Services:
Our Sunday services are simple gatherings where we: worship God (mainly through singing & music), have a talk from the Bible, time to pray for one another & allow the Holy Spirit to move among us, then time to hang out together.

We value a non-hype, welcoming, safe environment where people can come as they are without alot of the expectations that often come with going to church or religion in general.

We recognize that Jesus was very serious about loving & serving God & the people around him, yet amazingly didn't get caught up in the religious or political motives or expectations of his day. So in keeping with Jesus' model for life, the mood of our services is low key, welcoming to all (we hope!) & "naturally supernatural".

    Churchlife
The real life of our community happens during the week as people actually do what the Bible teaches about loving each other & God.

We have a network of small groups that meet around the city to facilitate supportive relationships & friendships, pray for each other, worship & learn about God through the Bible -- basically share life together.

We also have other special groups like:
  • Alpha - A 10-week course where the basics of the Christian faith are introduced in a zero pressure environment where participants are encouraged to share their honest thoughts & questions (no matter how basic or hostile) about Jesus & Christianity.

Over free dinner, participants watch a video which introduces a basic idea of Christianity (like, Who is Jesus? Why Should I Pray? What About the Church?), then breakup into tables & discuss. All opinions are respected as participants discuss what they think about the night's topic.

Alpha is open to anyone, no matter if they a Christian, a part of a church or whatever. More Info here >

  • Life with God - The discipleship track of the NYC Vineyard. We look at the practical everyday workings of what it is to live life with God. More Info here >

  • Our Mission
As Jesus' church, we feel called to extend the Kingdom, God's loving rule & reign to all people, breaking the stereotype of that Christianity & Jesus have gotten.

We do this by partnering with God as He creates communites of people that live like Jesus lived & do the things He did.

While building community through small groups & Sunday services are key to our mission, we also are very concerned with looking after the poor, as God's heart is for the poor (financially, spiritually, physically, etc). We currently have 2 ongoing community projects that are set up to do just this:
  • The Children's Village - More info coming soon.

  • The Happy City - More info coming soon.
